Background –

This role is an opportunity to start on the ground floor of one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies and to help shape the systems that support the platform and drive overall success. In the process, you will have the opportunity to impact how the nation’s largest health systems and plans deliver care.

As a newly forming design team, you will lay the foundation for exceptional UX research as the first researcher in the newly formed product design team. You should be driven by their mission and the problem they are solving, but also by the innovation and technology they are applying to healthcare.

They are looking for someone with exceptional curiosity and enthusiasm for solving hard problems and be a strong voice and advocate for the user and to champion UX research and user-centered decision making.

Salary – $120,000 – $150,000 plus annual bonus, plus equity

Location – Office in San Francisco, offering fully remote working


  • You will have the critical responsibility of working with the team to surface and prioritize strategic questions and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • To lead user-centered research throughout the product development process from discovery to delivery
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research methods – interviews, surveys, usability tests, concept tests, contextual inquiry, competitive analysis
  • Create foundational research artifacts
  • Collaborate with the product team and internal stakeholders and lead research initiatives to shape the roadmap.
  • To communicate effectively with the product team to ensure they understand the findings

Requirements :

  • Experience as a UX Researcher in product, working on an Agile team that has shipped products and features.
  • Experience leading research products across the entire product lifecycle
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • A portfolio showcasing your UX research experience and a deep understanding of user needs.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential, as is previous experience working in a high growth start-up
