Senior UX Designer, London

Background –

Want to work in a super exciting design space incorporating artificial intelligence / machine learning and augmented reality and other cutting edge technologies? Want to use your UX Design skills in an environment where you will make a difference for thousands of patients each year? Then this is the role for you.

You will be part of a rapidly growing UX team and be expected to collaborate across the business with Product Managers, Marketers, Software Engineers, Visual Designers, and others. You should be passionate about understanding and designing for customer needs as well as continually developing your skills and tooling to be at the forefront of User Experience design. The design department embraces a fun and creative approach to the seriousness of helping surgeons save lives.

This role is based in central London and can offer remote working initially moving to a more hybrid model in the coming months

Salary £75,000 – £90,000

Responsibilities

  • Conduct core UX initiatives such as workshops, usability testing, competitor audits, cultural probes to inform your design decisions.
  • In conjunction with Design research, help define priorities and usability studies to validate designs and identify future areas of opportunity.
  • With strong focus on key user problems, create rich and delightful experiences that balance user, business and technical needs.
  • User-centred design processes, including personas, sitemaps, process flows, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that features and flows are implemented to deliver the best customer experience and drive consistency.
  • Participate in design reviews presenting the various stages of design to key stakeholders

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working in an Agile process environment.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience of UX Design
  • A portfolio of UX design work that clearly shows experience with core job responsibilities and demonstrates your design thinking and process
  • An effective communicator both written & verbal
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial / Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Behavioural Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience designing digital health or medical device products is advantageous as is experience designing in 3D
