The Role

  • We are looking to hire a talented and innovative leader to join the leadership team as Senior Director, Data & Business Intelligence
  • The company is reimagining what the journey towards health and well-being looks like for millions of people around the world. You will have the mandate to deliver on the technical side of this vision. This role reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Responsibilities:

Technical & Governance Leadership: You will develop and implement the data and business intelligence practice. You will lead and coordinate end-to-end data and analytics governance activities and technical delivery and will also play a vital role in creating a culture that promotes data as an organizational asset.

Client Success and Business Development Leadership: You will serve as an “enterprise data” leader of the company. You will provide strategy and domain expertise in the core facets of Data Management and will be an invaluable partner to other key functions, such as the Enterprise Applications team, Marketing & Sales Operations, as well as internal and external Data owners.

Team Leadership: You will develop a world-class data and business intelligence team and culture within the company. Your team will be responsible for measuring and monitoring the quality of data assets, communicating metrics to stakeholders in a consistent and meaningful way, build trust and reliability in the integrity of the company’s data

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Director or Senior Manager, with an emphasis in the data and business intelligence function within the healthcare space.
  • Lead and manage all organization-wide data governance activities.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for governance and work closely with other IT leaders and the business to improve/ ensure data quality and protection.
  • Establish a data platform within the cloud (Azure).
  • Manage, implement, and support the implementation of business intelligence systems, such as Power BI.
  • Establish and govern an enterprise information governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities.
  • Facilitate an enterprise-wide information governance framework with emphasis on modifications to organizational behavior, policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to information governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the companyʼs principal information assets.
  • Function as a knowledge base and resource to project teams. Serves as a point of escalation and resolution for quality issues.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience leading teams and executing projects & best of breed technology within information/data governance capabilities, data operations/data management/data platform/analysis/reporting environments, and business intelligence
  • Experience deploying data and business intelligence solutions to the cloud.
  • Must be comfortable working in highly collaborative environments; demonstrable ability to influence other leaders and partners.
  • Knowledge of data related healthcare regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues

Preferred qualifications:

  • Masterʼs in computer science, MIS, Information Management or related
  • Line and performance management experience
  • Experience working with Azure
  • Experience working with Power BI

Education/Experience

  • Minimum 10 years data related experience within the healthcare industry
  • 5 years of leadership responsibilities.
