Background –

An outstanding opportunity to join a very dynamic Training Practice that has retained its family and patient-first ethos whilst remaining at the forefront of change.

This practice is very successful and has a good reputation amongst the GP community both externally and internally as evidenced by their strong staff retention.

Workload is very reasonable with a morning of both 15-minute and 10-minute appointments and a shorter, more flexible afternoon clinic which you control entirely.

The population is very mixed and doesn’t conform to the reputation of Glastonbury. They see themselves and their patients as very normal.

Workflow is heavily optimised, spearheaded by successive projects running over a number of years.

Applications from newly qualifying GPs and GPs requiring Tier 2 visa sponsorship are both very welcome.

Salary – £10,000+ per session

Location – Glastonbury area

The surgery –

• Established GP Training Practice with four Trainers
• Excellent purpose-built premises
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
  • Three completed workflow projects including task optimisation
  • GP Registrars and Nurse Practitioners completing bulk of home visits
  • Team of 4 ANPs, 3 Physios and 2 Pharmacists all seeing same day patients.
• 11am coffee break every day
• Very involved in local area
• Very encouraging of special interests

Your role –

• Salaried GP (high-earning Partnership also available)
• 4 or more sessions, full-time available
• Just 24 patients per day
  • 16 patients in the morning (09.00 start) with 15-minute pre-booked and 10-minute same-day appointments
  • Cut down session of 8 patients in the afternoon, mostly phone calls, to allow for more admin time
• NO DUTY DOCTOR
• Flexibility for school/nursery drop offs/pick-ups
• Excellent portfolio career opportunities, particularly MSK and Menopause
