Background –

You will be joining a very dynamic, progressive and forward-thinking practice which has identified the pressures facing General Practice and addressed them, which is all you can ask from a practice in this climate.
15-minute appointments, protected admin sessions and half-day Duty rotas have all been implemented to improve work/life balance, with the measures very well received by their loyal, ever-smiling team.
With a rapidly increasing list size, there is now the opportunity for two more GPs to join the practice, and GPs requiring Tier 2 visa sponsorship are very welcome to apply as are GPs set to qualify in the coming months.

Salary – c£11,500 per session plus indemnity

Location – Chard area

The surgery –

• Successful GP Training practice with several trainers – various other students and trainees in addition to GP Registrars
• c20,000 patients with stable Partnership
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
  • Just 12 patients per session
  • QI and workflow projects have reduced GP paperflow by 80%
  • Paramedics conducting vast bulk of home visits
• Morning coffee break
• Weekly whole practice meeting (protected time – 2 hour shutdown)
• Mixed demographic, lots of variety
• Tier 2 Visa sponsorship available

Your role –

• Salaried GP (Partnership also available)
• 4 or more sessions
• Full admin session with frequency depending on sessions work
  • 8 sessions – weekly
  • 6 sessions – fortnightly
  • 4 sessions – every three weeks
  • Can be worked from home
• 12 patients per session
  • 15-minute appointments
  • GP in control of session structure
• Flexible start and finish times
• Virtually no home visits, typically palliative only
• Interests heavily encouraged – healthy for GPs to have additional passions
