Practice Nurse

Background –

Here we have an exciting Practice Nurse position with a wonderful GP practice in the coastal resort town of Portsmouth. This training practice is highly supportive of developing staff in whatever ways they can, offering both internal and external opportunities. Within this great team atmosphere, you will deal with various appointments, including long-term condition reviews, child immunisations, smears, wounds and more. This will be alongside a multi-disciplined team that includes GPs, Nurse Practitioners and HCAs.

This role is preferably full-time, but the practice is open to someone potentially seeking fewer hours. The management and Partnership at the surgery offer tremendous support with a very well structured and managed workload.

Salary – £16 – £18 per hour + NHS pension + 6 weeks annual leave + BH + study leave

Your role –

• Practice Nurse, full or part-time
• See long-term condition reviews, immunisations, wounds, smears, and more
• Patients of all ages, ranging from babies through to the elderly
• Flexibility over length of your days but average of 08:00 – 18:00
• 99% of appointments are face-to-face!
• Support fellow clinicians with your knowledge as and where required
