This is a highly attractive opportunity to join a dynamic, progressive Primary Care Network looking to become yet more forward-thinking. For them though, peripheral-thinking is equally important and they are looking to recruit a new Network Manager to focus heavily on transformation and change – they want to be challenged as to why they’re doing something that way, have they thought about doing it this way, have you considered X, why don’t we try Y, and so on.
A strong background in digital transformation and/or change management is vital for this role as you will play a leading role in the development and utilisation of the network’s digital infrastructure.

You will oversee the PCN team, both the clinical (with support from assigned clinical leads) and non-clinical teams and be charged with its growth, retention and performance, assisted ably by your management colleagues from the member practices.

You will blend both day-to-day decision making and initiatives with broader scope and longer-term thinking, planning, collaboration and integration within the network itself and the wider primary care community as a whole.
You will be charged with the articulation and implementation of the PCN’s vision as well as those of the member practices.

Salary: a broad bracket is offered for negotiation, ranging from £55,000-75,000, depending on background and relevant, similar experience

Hours: ideally full-time (37.5 hours over four or five days), would also consider part-time with a minimum of 30 hours. Up to 25% (+/- some weeks) homeworking would be supported.

Outskirts of Bristol with excellent motorway links
Well-respected, successful practices – both stable and well-recruited
10-12 direct reports
PCN board consisting of 3 GPs and 2 Managers

Your role –

Operations

Oversight and accountability of the delivery of PCN contracts (IIF, DES etc)
Line management, training and development of PCN staff
Ensure all relevant strategies, policies, targets and frameworks are implemented
To implement network-based projects
Assist with Finance and Governance depending on level of existing knowledge and exposure to these areas

Digital Infrastructure

To ensure the PCN maximises its business intelligence tools
Develop a continuous improvement approach to digital accessibility for patients and workforce
Create data packs to support decision-making that includes but is not limited to demand, capacity, utilisation data, staff and patient experience
To develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the PCN digital infrastructure and business intelligence tools
To procure and manage digital tools for the PCN which is aligned to a framework of fundamental principles
To proactively project manage all digital projects and also evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention
To ensure all initiatives are supported by a clinical champion and practice management
To deliver technical information in a non-technical and engaging way to a range of stakeholders
