    GP Partner & School Medical Officer

    Background –

    An outstanding opportunity for an experienced GP to join a dynamic Training Practice that has retained its family and patient-first ethos whilst remaining at the forefront of change.
    This practice is very successful and has a good reputation amongst the GP community both externally and internally as evidenced by their strong staff retention and the population offers a good mix between affluence and deprivation to keep the day interesting.
    A key part of the role will be working at the nearby boarding school as the School Medical Officer. After twelve months establishing yourself in the practice and in the Partnership, you’ll then take up the School position which, during term time, will amount to 4-5 sessions per week, allowing you to stay involved at practice level the remaining 1-2 sessions.

    For those potentially interested in relocating to the area, the ICB are willing to offer support to the tune of £10,000 for those moving from over 40 miles away to within 25 miles of the practice.

    • Established GP Training Practice with numerous Trainers
    • Very profitable Partner-owned purpose-built premises
    • Geared towards reducing GP workload
      • Three completed workflow projects including task optimisation
      • GP Registrars and Nurse Practitioners completing bulk of home visits
      • Team of ANPs, Physios and Pharmacists supporting GPs
    • 11am coffee break every day
    • Very involved in local area
    • Very encouraging of special interests

    Your role –

    • GP Partner (happy to consider Salaried with a View to Partnership)
    • Predominantly based at local boarding school during term-time
    • Working back in the practice during school holidays
    • Ideally 6 sessions
      • Mainly pre-booked face-to-face morning clinics with some requirement to speak to students’ parents over the phone
    • Excellent portfolio career opportunity (more to be discussed on enquiry) – the feedback from the GPs who previously held the role is nothing short of fantastic
