b:Friend pairs volunteer befrienders with socially isolated older neighbours to pop-in, once-a-week, for a cuppa and a chat. For some older people it may be the only person they see or speak to for a week or more and the aim of the charity project is to reduce loneliness through befriending. Alongside the 1:1 visits the charity host weekly Social Clubs that steer away from the traditional bingo and bunting in favour of more creative sessions like cheerleading, street dance, poetry recitals and creative crafts.
